Adult Classes

From September to March we run a New Dancers Class, a General Class and an Advanced Class for adults. All the classes are very relaxed and informal. There is no dress code, but dance shoes are advisable.

New Dancers Class

This class is for people with little, or no experience of Scottish Country Dancing. A new class will be starting on 24 January 2018 and further details are available here.

General Class
The emphasis of this class is very much on social dancing. Here you will learn dances old and new, popular and less well known, all the various formations and all in a relaxed and friendly manner. Time can be set aside before the class for step or formation practice for anyone who wishes for it.

The class takes place on Tuesdays, 7.30 to 9.30 pm with a short break for tea (please bring your own cup!). The new term starts on Tuesday 9th January. £4.50 per session or £20 for a 6-week block.

St Andrew's Church Hall, King Street, Dundee (next to Wellgate Centre, use door at top of car park). For access code to car parking please get in touch, alternatively, there is parking in Queen Street off the Seagate (opposite Enterprise car hire) and steps up to King Street.

Advanced Class with Live Music

This class concentrates on your development as a dancer. You will spend time practising steps and the less common formations, but there will be considerable emphasis on dancing as part of a team. The new session starts on Thursday 11th January at 7.30 pm.

Dancers from this class make up the Branch Demonstration Team. We perform at events throughout our area, helping to promote Scottish Country Dancing in Dundee and pass on our enjoyment of the dance to others.
