RSCDS Dundee was established in 1925 as the third Branch of the Scottish Country Dance Society, after Glasgow and Edinburgh. The now Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) is a worldwide organisation with branches across the globe and is headquartered in Edinburgh. RSCDS Dundee is a Scottish charity and aims to keep alive the wonderful heritage of dance and music we have in Scotland. In 1925, we celebrated our centenary and produced a booklet with an overview of the history of the first 100 years which can be downloaded here.

Dundee Branch has enthusiastic members who attend classes and dances locally and further afield. We provide classes from novice to advanced and run dances a few times over the year. There are plenty of opportunities to dance in informal events and, occasionally, larger, more formal balls. Some dancers travel overseas to attend events – a truly global family.

We welcome new dancers who wish to learn and dancers with more experience who move to this area.
